Lydia ~ 16 Months

Lydia is really starting to enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day. She has been content to play pretty independently for months, and continues to do so, and we are really thankful for that. She does not like to play in a room alone, yet, though, so we are working on teaching her to play in her room for a short time while Mommy does something else. I know the time will come when she is all too eager to run off and do her "own thing" though, so I'm trying not to rush her. We really enjoy watching her "read" to her dolls and have her bring us books that she would like to have us read to her. Some of her other favorite activities are wearing this little lavendar backpack that came with one of her dolls, chasing the dog (which she is getting better at, the better she gets at walking/running), climbing the stairs (thankfully, we only have two!), and "playing" the piano. She has also enjoyed going to several of Daddy's basketball games this month, but can't quite understand why she can't join those big guys on the court!

Falling down is almost as fun as running around!
